On 12, 13 and 14th October 2016, ENA participated to the Monaco International Clubbing Show (MICS)

The MICS is an annual event  that gathers the professionals of the nightlife sector. This is an opportunity for professional of the clubbing network to meet and exchange during different events (conferences, stands, hosted buyer program, awards …).

ENA organized during the MICS a Conference on « Safety and Security, Best Practices for Nightlife Establishments » on 13rd October. The debate focused on safety and terrorist threat in nightlife establishments.

Here is the main points of the debate :

For Eric Francelet, Chief of the Security-Information of the Préfecture de Police de Paris "Security concerns everyone", public authorities need professional’s vigilance toward the terrorist threat. We must continue to work while taking the measure of the threat. Therein, the nightlife establishments should, he said, "invest in security to strengthen their security devices" "inside and outside the establishments," be dissuasive to reassure and secure the customer. Mr. Raphael Saint-Vincent, author of the book "Living with the threat of terrorism" and correspondent UMIH Formation also recalled that the professionals had a safety obligation to their employees. Andrea Margelletti, President of CE.SI (Centro Studi Internazionali) indicated that in Italy the situation is not the same as in France. He added that we need to go ahead and continue to run the economy of the nightlife sector. Mr Pasca, President of ENA noted that Italian professionals are working more and more on the issue of security. He added that "the Italian professionals stand together with French professionals." Mr Boadas, General Secretary of SpainNightlife and Representative of International Nightlife Association (INA) presented the International Safety Seal. During follow-up discussion with the audience, a night club owner wanted to convey a message of hope, "Continue to help us to party!".
