European Nightlife Association
On february 10th 2014, and for the very first time in Europe, the european nightlife sector joined together under a “only for nightlife enterpreneurs” business organization. Indeed, the trade unions “UMIH” (France), “SILB FIPE” (Italy) and “Spain Nightlife” (Spain) created on Monday an European association, headquartered in Paris, with Mr. Maurizio Pasca, Italian national and president of “SILB FIPE”, as first president. Mr. Laurent Lutse, president of the branch Cafés, Brasserie, Monde de la nuit in “UMIH”, and Mr. Carlos Caballero, president of “Spain Nightlife”, have been appointed as vice-presidents of this new association
The main goal of this non-profit organization is to represent and promote the nightlife professionals across Europe and defend their interests in the policy creation and the decision-making processes before the European institutions, by setting forth the position of the nightlife sector.
Then, the EUROPEAN NIGHTLIFE ASSOCIATION intends to act at the European level on areas affecting directly or indirectly the nightlife sector, such as licensing, alcohol, minors, security, taxes and noise.
At the present time, the Association includes members in Italy, France and Spain and invites members in every country in Europe to join them.
The official presentation of the Association took place in Florence last 18 of Mars with the presence of representatives of the founding members who will talk and explain about the objectives of this association, that represents a very important business sector despite often is not taken into account.
The new European Association will meet entrepreneurs of the nightlife sector from de USA in Miami and there discuss a possible collaboration through the “International Nightlife Association”, of which the “European Nightlife Association” is already a member.
